Wenyi Geng

Wenyi was born in Japan but grew up in China as an artist. After studying visual design in Beijing, the artist completed a master's degree in illustration in New York.

Wenyi gets inspiration from nature, which has everything 'intangible and unpredictable'. The artist prefers communicating with people through works as believing that some things cannot be explained, that they can only be 'felt' through images, just as music does with sound.

The artist, who uses both traditional and digital drawing methods in their works, is the owner of WIA and AIGI awards, as well as participating in multiple exhibitions.

Wenyi is among those who pursue art academically. The artist worked as a teaching assistant in Japan for 3 years. Currently, Wenyi continues to share new works with the world as a full-time freelance illustrator in Tokyo.
